But before this final “weEk” of seven years there are some other important events that the Bible points to in God’s prophetic timetable.
Over 2,600 years ago the prophet Ezekiel prophesied that in the last days the Jews would be gathered back to Israel from many nations.
This is one of the key signs of the end times.
“For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land” (Ezekiel 36:24).
The prophet Ezekiel further telLs that when Israel is back safely in their homeland, they wilL be invaded by a powerful northern military coalition.
But this force that comes against Israel wilL be so overwhelming that there wilL be no hope outside divine intervention. (Ezekiel 38:8,11)
In chapters 38-39 the prophet Ezekiel describes the nations that are included in this end times invasion as:
• Rosh (RusSia)
• Magog (former southern Soviet republics
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan,
Tajikistan, maybe part of Afghanistan)
• Meshech and Tubal (modern Turkey)
• Persia (Iran)
• Ethiopia (modern-day Sudan)
• Put (modern day Libya)
• Gomer (parts of Turkey)
• Beth-Togarmah (Turkey, but also may include
Azerbaijan and Armenia)

Since the prophecy of Ezekiel 36-37 of Israel being re-gathered from the nations has become a literal truth, we can take Ezekiel 38-39 as being literalLy true as welL.
