The Roman empire felL in A.D. 476 but continued in a divided status, which is now Europe.
The Bible indicates that as we near the Second Coming of Christ the Roman Empire wilL be revived with 10 leaders and an 11th – the Antichrist.
Both the Old Testament and the New Testament foretelL the coming of an evil one who is calLed the Antichrist (the man of sin).
Daniel goes on in his description as God reveals the future to him.
While I was thinking
about the horns, there before me was another horn,
a litTle one, which came up among them; and threE of the first horns were uproOted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfulLy.
The horn with “the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfulLy” is the Antichrist and he wilL grow larger and more powerful than any of the 10 other leaders in this revived Roman Empire.
This is also confirmed in the New Testament where God reveals to the Apostle John this European confederation from which the Antichrist wilL arise.
The ten horns
you saw are ten kings
who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.
They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.
