Our newest Recruiting Team member
Volunteers dedicated to the preservation of Red Rock Canyon
Becky and her husband, Mike, joined Friends in January 2016. Becky had her first
volunteer experience with recruiting at the Visitor Center on
April 1 when she signed a new membership. She is a native
Pennsylvanian and earned a Marketing Degree at Indiana
University of Pennsylvania. Becky and Mike currently live
part-time in Elko and Henderson and have been Nevadans
for the past 30 years. She is a Lamoille member and future
Green Valley member of the General Federation of Wom-
en’s Clubs, an international women’s organization dedi-
cated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of
others through volunteer service. Her hobbies are quilting
and machine embroidery.
Growth in Membership is Necessary
When you read the “Welcome New Members” above, it is not unusual to think that we
have enough members. Growth is a continual effort even though our number has topped
400. As with any organization, members come and go for a variety of reasons. That is
why recruiting, sponsoring and gifting are very important parts of our ongoing efforts.
