         Tyler Technologies chose the site of a 24-year-old former                             Stone feature wall
         corporate fitness center that was located in a park-like                              Overhead door opening to

         for its new headquarters. The building had potential for
         non-traditional office space that might appeal to top
         software development talent from across the country.
         HKS designed an additional building next to the exist-
         ing facility and connected them with a glass walkway.
         The running track was retained as a fitness amenity, and
         the space that once housed the indoor swimming pool
         was converted into a café. Changing from a perimeter
         office culture to an open-plan workplace encouraged
         collaboration, provided flexible space and incorporated
         the latest technology. Tyler’s new headquarters reflects
         its identity with a sophisticated but unpretentious build-
         ing supporting its brand message of solving traditional
         challenges in a non-traditional manner.
