Beer! On demand! Do we need to say more?
iGulu developed an automated craft beer brewing machine for your own home. Yes, that says it all.
A hair coach in the form of a brush
The Kérastase Hair Coach by L’Oreal & Withings is like a hair advisor in brush form. The smart brush, retailing just under USD 200, trains consumers to improve their brushing techniques by vibrating when stroked too hard.
The battery-powered, water-resistant brush also contains a built-in microphone to record the sounds of frizzy, dry, or breaking hair. Other sensors analyze the effects of heat (like straighteners) and products (like dye) on the hair’s health — then provide product and technique recommendations to repair.
The world’s rst wearable blood alcohol sensor
This device from Milo Sensors tracks the blood alcohol content (BAC) of the sweat in your wrist. What this needs though is the ability to brick your phone (and car keys!) once your BAC has reached a certain level.
Mirror, mirror on the wall...
Beauty Tech is now a permanent part of CES. The biggest buzz came from the Hi Mirror, a Snow White-like device that takes your picture, then tells you about your skin damage, enlarged pores, etc. — you name it. You can even have it take selfies in different lighting situations and post to Instagram. Everyone in this room knows someone who would flip for this device.
