Sergeant Alicia Dockens

Alicia Dockens began her career in law enforcement in 2011 after graduating from
the University of Texas System Police Academy. She moved from Tyler with her
husband and son to San Antonio where she works as a patrol sergeant for the

University of Texas Health San Antonio Police Department. Alicia has served as a
firearms instructor as she managed the firearms program and created lesson
plans that she instructed. She was also a pistol, rifle, and shotgun armorer and
maintained the departmentʼs weapons. In addition, she is a Rape Aggression
Defense instructor, teaching the women in her community basic self-defense. She
is one of two internal affairs investigators. Alicia sits on the Multicultural Advisory
Board, educating employees about diversity and inclusion. She also chairs the

Community Outreach Committee where she enjoys engaging with the surrounding
community and coordinating volunteer events. In her spare time, she manages
her departmentʼs social media presence. Alicia has earned a BAAS in Criminal
Justice Administration from Tarleton University and is working towards an MBA
from Lamar University.
