Conceptual Solution

• Widen the road 5m to the original

• Strengthening the unstable slopes by in-situ installation of soil

nail

• Connecting the nails with Reinforced Earth® system to form a

TerraLink® structure. Soil nail creates a reinforced soil mass
that is internally stable and able to retain the ground mass

in front of slope.

• Similar to mechanically stabilized earth structure system, soil

nail reinforcements are passive and can develop their

reinforcing action through nail-soil interactions as the slope
mass deforms during and subsequent to construction.
