     Russell Group University:
The Russell Group – founded in 1994, is a group of 24 top UK universities committed to maintaining excellent academic standards in both teaching and research. Its members mostly dominate the top of the university league tables; the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge are both members, as is the University of Birmingham, Cardiff University and King’s College, London.

What are you plans for the future?
I want to be happy and be content within myself. I will probably take a gap year so that I have time to think about what I’d like to do rather than jumping straight in to university. University is one option but with my textiles I might look at being a stylist. There are so many different routes I could take, it’s nice to have the options. I also want to do some travelling. Seaford isn’t pushing me to go to university. I’m going up to Liverpool to look at doing History there too.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about equality in female sports. I want women to have the same platform as men and to be recognised in the same way at both local and international level. I noticed there was a big push on the Women’s World Cup football which is a good start.
“I’ve discovered my passion for media and I’d love to
work in the film and TV industry, doing producing or directing. Just something behind the camera. I also have a passion for photography. Seaford has given me the confidence to follow my dreams and do what I love. It’s been life changing coming here!”

What do you aspire to achieve?
IwanttoworkwithMathsor Science. I really like Further Maths and the complex numbers. I might go into engineering (my dad is a software engineer).
How are you feeling about applying for Oxbridge?
I’m a bit apprehensive as it’s so competitive but I’m happy to give it a go. I have nothing to lose. It will be a great experience to go through. If I decide Oxbridge isn’t for me then perhaps I’ll look at Warwick. Mr Gisby is really supportive, his role is to guide us through the Oxbridge application process.
What do you like about the ethos at Seaford?
Determination, resilience, I am a natural hard worker, and this is valued at Seaford. Everyone is pushed to do their best, everyone around me is working hard. There is a sense of achievement when you succeed.
William Heath
What are your aspirations?
IwanttogotoExeterifIcanget the grades for PPE. I want go into Finance in London and later in life I’dliketobeanMP(butIneedto have money behind me). I also need to understand government and how it works before I join it. We discuss politics at home so it’s always in the background and I like being involved in it. I like to understand why politicians don’t do what they promise. I would like to run for my own constituency, Aylesbury. I really want to improve things for people in the area as it’s gone downhill in the last 20 years. There are insufficient jobs.
