What do you aspire to do?
I want to read Biology at university but I’m still trying to work out what type of course to do – straight Biology or something else. I don’t know what to do next. I really like Biology but I probably won’t want a job connected to it.
Matthew George
What would you like to do when you leave Seaford?
I might go to university and do some coaching. I’d like to play hockey for Team GB. I play hockey at Seaford and outside of school with Barnes Hockey Club. I’m currently playing at county level for Middlesex.
James Carter
What would you like to do in the future?
I want to be a physiotherapist so need Biology and sport. I chose BTEC Sport as it allowed a bit more time for me to focus on Biology. I want to run my own business. I’d love to play rugby for South Africa or England in the future.
Who is your role model?
Nelson Mandela, I met him once and he was amazing. He had a lot of wisdom. I lived in South Africa for 7 years and my parents grew up there and went through Apartheid. Technically I could play rugby for both South Africa or England. My sporting role model is Du Plessis. I like his persona and how he played. He met deadlines after injury, he loved it. I would like to be a rugby team physio.
Fergus Segrove
What are your future aspirations?
I want to be an actor. I realise it’s a tough industry but that’s my ultimate dream.
I’d like to take a gap year and then go to drama school – somewhere like Central Saint Martins. LAMDA is really helpful with auditions for that.
How are Seaford helping with your aspirations?
I have always been encouraged in regards to my acting. In Year 9 I was really shy – very introverted. I had no idea what I wanted to do.
Now I‘m 100% certain that I want to be an actor. It’s given me my aspiration to be an actor.
Seaford has really built my confidence. It comes from having to make new friends and talk to people. Not just when I started but when there have been other new joiners after me.
