Dear Students,
Welcome to Year 9.
This school year heralds the start of an exciting journey, a journey full of
new experiences, new challenges and new opportunities. My role is to
ensure that you feel at ease and comfortable so that you quickly become
an integral member of our Seaford family.
I hope that shortly you will feel settled and supported at school and, with the
help of your tutors, will take the first steps towards academic success and
personal bests. Year 9 is the first time that you will be able to make personal
choices about your education as you begin to consider your GCSE options and
we are here to guide you through the process.
As you make the transition from your junior and prep schools, we will encourage
you to grow your self-confidence, help you connect to your new friends and
the school community, and set appropriate challenges specific to your needs.
In a nutshell, we feel that Confidence, Connection and Challenge are the core
personal building blocks that enable you to flourish during the next few years of
your school life. At Seaford we will help you develop these habits and guide your
awareness of how to get the best out of yourself.
We are excited to welcome you into the Middle School and, if you have any
question or concerns, my door is always open.
