GCSE Combined Science GCSE Triple Science
Studying GCSE Science opens students’ eyes to the world around them. It is not only the window into the fascinating living and non-living parts of the Universe around us, but it can also spawn a lifelong interest in the sciences which could be vital to solving problems of the past, present and future.
At Seaford, we offer a variety of pathways through GCSE Science. Most students study towards the Combined Science at either Higher or Foundation level, leading to 2 GCSE grades. At the end of Year 9 we invite a selection of students to study towards a separate GCSE in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (the Triple Science) to achieve 3 GCSE grades.
Year 10 and 11 builds upon the foundations of the GCSE course which are taught throughout Year 9. Practical work forms an essential and stimulating part of the course, carried out throughout Years 10 and 11 and is examined during the written exams taken at the end of the course.

3. Physics (two 1 hour 15 minute written exams)
GCSE Triple Science
This course consists of three subjects as listed below:
1. Biology(two1hour 45 minute written exams)
2. Chemistry (two 1 hour 45 minute written exams)
3. Physics (two 1 hour 45 minute written exams)
