Middle School Highlights
This term of transformation has been significant for our Year 11 students. For the first two weeks of
January, students took their mock examinations in the sports hall. These were more than just tests;
they were very much the practice run for their public exams this summer, helping to identify their
strengths and areas for improvement before the GCSEs begin in May. The dedication displayed by our
Year 11 cohort has been impressive. Following the mocks, our Targeted Revision Clinics have provided
essential support, with many students attending to enhance their preparation.
Likewise, our Year 10 students have been working
hard this term. Immersed in the completion of
coursework and curriculum, they have shown an
unwavering commitment to their studies. The
increased academic rigour of Year 10 has seen
them develop their skills through assignments
and the completion of the practical elements of
their coursework. Their commitment and resilience
are commendable, and we celebrate their pursuit
of academic excellence as they prepare for their
internal exams after the Easter break.
Meanwhile, Year 9 students have started a new
phase in their academic journey. With their option
subjects now chosen, they are ready to begin their
GCSEs. The careful and thoughtful decisions they
have made this term reflect their growing maturity
and readiness to embrace new challenges in their
studies. We are excited to support them as they
explore their interests.
We hosted Parents’ Evenings for Years 9 and 11 this
term and look forward to Year 10 Parents’ Evening in
the Summer Term. These events provided valuable
opportunities for parents, students and teachers to
discuss progress and goals. The conversations and
collaborative spirit during these evenings strengthen
our school community.
As we conclude this term with our Awards
Assemblies, we celebrate the achievements of our
students and look forward to the next term.
