What is the key to academic success
in Year 10 and 11?
A positive attitude to learning is key to success in Year 10 and 11 and is reported
using our ‘Ad Alta characteristics for developing independence’ in learning. To
achieve their academic personal bests, students should always be:

Prepared: Ready, on time and with the right equipment to learn
•
Focused: Engages fully without distraction to self and/or others
•
Collaborative: Respectful and supportive of others in learning together
•
Resilient: Doesn’t give up, takes risks and learns through setbacks
•
Ambitious: Goes above and beyond to achieve their personal best
These characteristics are scored by subject teachers and reported in students’
Academic Reports.
