A huge “thank you” to those of you who have already made a commitment to the future of Alpha Epsilon – we could not have made it this far without your contribution! All alumni with valid mailing addresses received a campaign brochure last spring. The brochure detailed the plans for our new home, and provided information on the chapter’s website: www.mygreekgift.org/pkp/ae/cc. The chapter has made great strides. Since their colonization, they have secured a solid future at the University of Florida and deserve a place they are proud to call home. With your help we can make that happen! We are on our way to reaching our campaign goal, Save the Date! but still have a ways to go. We extend our sympathies to their friends, families, and loved ones. Benjamin E. Abbott ’49 Earnest “Brett” Culpepper ’67, age 65, of Port Saint Lucie, passed away on Saturday, Robert F. Miller ’53 February 1, 2014 after a long and hard fght with Parkinson’s disease. From the hometown of St. Petersburg, FL, Brett graduated from St. Petersburg High School Peter H. MacEachron ’54 and received a degree in civil engineering at UF in 1971. He married Judy Flowers Robert M. Shifalo ’63 Culpepper the following year on September 23, 1972. Brett was a professional Ernest B. Culpepper ’67 engineer and professional land surveyor and was a founding partner of Culpepper and Michael P. Villaroman ’87 Terpening, Inc. He was also a director of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce James (Sung) Suh ’96 GO Team, the predecessor of the Economic Development Council. Brett enjoyed golf, bridge, and Florida football. As an avid Florida fan, his love of the university was immortalized in the bricks of Ben Hill Griffn Stadium. Brett is survived by Judy, his wife of over 41 years, their three daughters, and four grandchildren.
