Chapter Update

Dear Brothers,

The Alpha Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi is at a pivotal moment in its
98-year history. May 2021 will be our chapter’s centennial, and there is a
whole lot to celebrate.

Today, the chapter is home to 53 active brothers, as we graduated 16 brothers
this past May. Much like our National Champion Men’s Basketball team,
the Alpha Mu Chapter has several pillars of excellence that we live by daily:
academics, athletics, and extracurriculars. Academically, we rank among
the top 25 percent of all fraternities at UVA, and our brotherhood grade
point average sits well above the average male GPA at UVA. Athletically,
we field competitive fraternity intramural teams in soccer, basketball, and
ultimate frisbee, bringing home at least one championship a year. In terms
of extracurriculars, our reach at UVA is felt far beyond the Alpha Mu
Chapter, as our brothers hold leadership positions in organizations such
as the McIntire Investment Institute, the University Guides Service, Camp renovated since 1986. We are determined to make the Alpha Mu Chapter
Kesem, the University Singers, Naval ROTC, and Student Council. Besides of Delta Sigma Phi the premier fraternity at UVA, and we would love to
these pillars, the brotherhood continues many of its lasting traditions have your involvement in this growth. Our alumni are welcome at any
annually, including home football tailgates, our Pig Pickin’ philanthropy in point to the chapter house, and I hope to see you during football and
the fall, a holiday gift drive with a UVA sorority, beach formal at Virginia basketball season.
