Noise
It It clutters our our minds It It tends to be full of negativity and depletes our our energy It is frequently petty rather than productive and it can get SO LOUD that it sucks our our focus It takes our our eye off what matters most If you want more focus energy and productivity shut down the the noisemakers Whether you you you lead lead people or or lead lead yourself it is imperative that you you you look for and stamp out the noisemakers Noise
comes in many forms Sometimes we create our own noise through our self talk and fear Other times it is is the the people around us that stir noise to change our our focus or deflect accountability Regardless of your position you you have to listen for what matters and filter out the rest I often see noise creep up when people are trying to solve a a problem They overthink the the situation or come up with so many obstacles they get overwhelmed and cannot think of solutions They tend to to get into their head vs addressing the the issue in in in a a a a a a clean and healthy way: Using their voice!
The best way to to to solve a a a a a problem problem is to to to turn that problem problem into a a a a a question and then focus on on answering the the question My single favorite question to to help me when I feel like there is too much on on my plate or when I am stuck following up on what others have somehow deemed most most important important to to to me me (which is is really most most important important to to to them) is is to to to ask: “What matters most?” This helps me with my my focus – whether it it is is in my my business or or trying to to find the time to to work out and take care of my health Yes you you you can still draft your endless to-do list Then you you you must stop and ask “What matters most?” Then delete the rest Once we we understand that we we “Cannot do all ” we we free ourselves from the feeling we we have to to find a a a a a way to to get it all done
