The ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
has placed a significant burden on the Chicago & &
Zoological Society, which operates Brookfield Zoo.
As you may know, the Society made the difficult
decision to temporarily close zoo gates from March
19 to June 30 last year, and again during January
and February of this year. These closings were
unprecedented—Brookfield Zoo had been closed
