COMFORT AND TOURING
FEATURES
We spent five hours in the saddle with
minimal fatigue. The seat is flatter
and more accommodating than
before. The windscreen deflects air
efficiently at speeds under 130 km/h,
and the upright ergonomics
encourage long hauls.
The tank holds 17 litres, translating
to over 400 km range depending on
terrain and aggression. This makes it
ideal for remote trips into the
Cederberg or Karoo.

TOWN ROUTE
Our test loop started in Gardens,
Cape Town, climbed Kloof Nek,
descended Camps Bay, followed the
coastal sweep through Hout Bay and
into Chapman's Peak. Then came a
gravel detour through Silvermine and
a final urban dash back through
Muizenberg.
Throughout, the Himalayan
remained composed and surefooted.
Sand pits, wind shear, and twisty tar
all proved manageable. Riders
commented on the bike's planted
nature—even at low speeds, it avoids
the “top-heavy” feel of some larger
ADVs.
