What is Language Reactor?
Language Reactor that formerly known as Language Learning
with Netflix (LLN) is a language learning tool that helps and supports
someone in finding material from native speakers, understanding
concepts and learning a language based on streaming videos such
as YouTube and Netflix (Language Reactor, n.d., 2021). Language
Reactor is a product based on a sophisticated chrome extension on
desktop running Windows and MacOS which is specifically designed
to improve subtitle performance, namely by creating dual language
subtitles on YouTube and Netflix (Fotheringham, 2023). Other features
in Language Reactor including electronic popup dictionary, precise
video playback controls, YouTube and Netflix catalogue, Turtle Tube,
Video files, Text, Chatbot, Phrase Pump, and saved items. Those
features support vocabulary learning using videos on YouTube or
Netflix.
