This is Enoch’s time to become acquainted with God
and God’s time to become better acquainted with Enoch. The fact that Enoch had purposed that nothing was
going to hinder him in his pursuit of God, was now going to pay big dividends.
I believe the closer Enoch got to his first meeting with God, the faster his heartbeat, the more his face was flushed, the more he seemed like he might faint. Then it happened. Preparation and opportunity intersected. The time a mortal man and God Almighty had been longing for, waiting for, was at hand!
God Himself must have wrapped His eternal mantel of glory around him and stepped out of Heaven, leaving the companionship of angels behind, the celestial music of Heaven, and sounds of harps fading in the distance, as once again God almighty, King of the Universe, went down, down, down... all the way to earth. God left a trail of Shekinah light shimmering in space behind him, until His glorious feet once again touched planet earth, so he could begin fellowshipping with His friend, Enoch.
Then it happened! In one atom of time, in less than one heartbeat, Enoch’s life was dramatically changed forever; his thinking, his outlook, his present, his future, would never again be the same!
Shout it from the rooftops! Clap your hands, oh trees of the field. Rocks cry out in praise! Angel choir in Heav- en, strike up the heavenly anthem. Enoch is finally meet- ing with God, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end!
God had not only welcomed Enoch’s desire for com- munication, more than that, God welcomed Enoch’s friendship. Enoch had joined the most elite club in the
