Page 27 - WALKING WITH GOD VOL I INTRODUCTION
P. 27
Enoch could no longer live his life making his own decisions... living life the way he wanted to, not after his first walk with God.
When Enoch returned, the first one he must have rushed to his grandpa Adam. “Oh grandpa, it was just like you said! It was wonderful! Words can’t describe it! It’s just like you said. Oh thanks, grandpa,” gushed Enoch!
How grandpa Adam must have shouted for joy as he exclaimed, “I know just what you are talking about Enoch!”
I believe Enoch had tapped into something that was even far beyond what Adam had experienced!
God is looking for friends in this generation! We have hordes of preachers, a slew of singers, many authors of books, but tell me... where can I find “friends of God?”
Jesus said to His disciples in John 15:15
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Yes, friendship with God is still available to those of us who will meet the conditions to be the friend of God.
If we are going to reach out to God to walk with Him, we must first empty our hands of everything. We must turn loose of the distractions of this world so that our focus can be only on God and eternity.
Mark it down in your day-timer... satan will be faithful to send special distractions your way to take your mind off of walking with God. You may even be thinking of some of those things now.
Someone might say, “I’m married, I can’t do it brother Ford.” Oh?
