What You Can Do?
Keeping all the latest information in check on
the COVID-19 is the first thing to do in order to
protect yourself. There are a number of things that
you can do in order to reduce the chances of getting
infected.
1. Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands using
either an alcohol based hand rub or wash them
using soap and water. This will kill all the virus on
that may be on your hands.
2. Maintain a social distance of about 1 meter
distance between you and anybody who might be
showing any symptoms. If they are infected you
might inhale the droplets if you are too close.
3. Avoid touching eyes, mouth or nose. Hands
might have traces of virus that might enter in your
body through eyes, nose or mouth and make you
sick.
4. Cover your nose with either a bent elbow or a
tissue when you cough or sneeze. Dispose the tissue
immediately after use.
5. Stay Home. Step out only when it is very
necessary.
6. In case you have any symptoms like fever, cough,
difficulty breathing, it is important to seek medical
attention. Quick action on these symptoms can
help the health provider to direct you to the right
health facility.
Are You Washing Your Hands
Properly?
Step 1:Wet hands with running water
Step 2: Apply enough soap to cover wet hands
Step 3: Scrub all surfaces of the hands –
including back of hands, between fingers and
under nails – for at least 20 seconds
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly with running water
Step 5: Dry hands with a clean cloth or single-
use towel
Wash your hands often, especially before
eating; after blowing your nose, coughing,
or sneezing; and going to the bathroom. If
soap and water are not readily available, use
an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least
60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap
and water, if hands are visibly dirty.
