• Determining the value of Trigonomeric comparisons using a calculator

To measure a given angle without a triangle, it will be difficult to calculate the
trigonometric ratios of the angle. For example, to find sin 20o , it's possible to draw a

right triangle with an angle of 20o and measure both sides. However, there may be
inaccuracies in drawing and measuring triangles. Trigonometric tables can be used but

it's easier to use a calculator. In trigonometry, many of the values used are

approximations. And answers are usually made up to 4 decimal places. However, in
calculations involving trigonometric comparisons, the scores should not be rounded up

until the end of the problem solving.

                  • Applications of Trigonometric Ratios in Daily Life

Angle of Depression and Angle of Elevation

In everyday life, we often hear the terms "angle of depression" and "angle of elevation".

The angle of elevation is the angle formed by the horizontal direction of the observer's
eye upwards, while the angle of depression is the angle formed by the horizontal direction

of the observer's eye downwards. For more details, see the following image.

There are so many things we encounter related to trigonometric ratios. Trigonometric

ratios can be used to solve contextual problems related to the angle of view, the height of
an object, or to determine the distance to an object. Trigonometric ratios are one of the

tools that can be used to train reasoning in solving these problems.
