Precautions to be taken while handling equipment during Unloading / Erection
Do not stand below the loads
Ensure that the load is being placed on level & strong surface.
Design features in some moving equipment for safety of personnel.
Cranes, Belt Conveyors & Travelling Trippers
1. Pull Chord Switches for Belt Conveyors – Just pull the chord to stop the belt in case of
emergency. It's provided on both sides of the conveyor.
2. Hooters for Cranes, Conveyors and Travelling trippers – Please be alert to the Hooter alarm
and move away from the moving equipment.
