“didn’t believe in” cold food. Somehow, that daily apple
managed to put my taste buds completely to sleep.
The exquisite lushness of those fried zucchini blossoms
from the butter-yellow zucchini squash seemed to awaken in
me a new sensibility, enhancing my sense of taste and smell
and fostering an all-around appreciation for food. Forever.
