Overview
This course provides an overview of the process when a
medical malpractice lawsuit is filed and offers practical advice
for deposition preparation, trial preparation, and jury selection.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe the common risk issues, legal elements, major
phases of the litigation process, and emotional risks
associated with a malpractice claim/lawsuit.
2. Utilize new/better skills and tools in managing the common
risk issues and emotional risks associated with common
malpractice claims/lawsuits.
3. Provide healthcare professionals with fewer risk issues and
fewer emotional risks that are commonly associated with a
medical malpractice claim.
