Overview

The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the range
of telemedicine applications as they relate to practitioners today,

providing general guidance as to the risks and liabilities of
telemedicine. The course also provides suggestions as to the

establishment of a patient/provider relationship, informed consent

and payment considerations relating to telemedicine. The course
also identifies relevant state laws and regulations as they apply to

telemedicine.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:

1) Identify what telemedicine is and what telemedicine is not.

2) Develop telemedicine protocols that are compliant with

current state laws and regulations.

3) Recognize the risks associated with the use and practice of

telemedicine.
