When I was in 5 standard,my mother, father ,my brother and I had planned to go for a family
nd
tour during the summer vacation to Nepal. It was in the month of April. On 22 April, 2015, we
reached Kathmandu airport, the capital city of Nepal and were received by my father’s friend who
took us to his house. Once we had breakfast with his family, we set out touring around Nepal town
and various nearby tourist destinations. We spent the night at our family friend’s place and had a nice
time together.
The next day the four of us boarded a flight to Pokhara in Nepal. We had booked a room in a
hotel there and when we got inside the room and when we slided the curtain, we had a beautiful and
cool view of the great Himalayas. We saw hundreds of parachutes and para-gliders in the heights of
Himalayas. We spent that evening relaxing and walking down the streets, dining out and enjoying the
cool weather. The hotel authorities had arranged an entertainment programme in the night for the
tourists who stayed there.

On 24 April, 2015, we got up early in the morning and went to Sarangkot hills to view sunrise
at the Annapurna mountain range of the Himalayas. Sarangkot hills were about 1600 meters above
sea level. We went half-way by car and then trekked to the top of the hill for a clear view of the sun
and the mountains. It was a great feeling during the sunrise because on one side there was heat and
by other side there was cold breeze form the Himalayas. We could see the golden rays of the sun
slowly covering the mountain tops as layers, which was indeed a breath-taking view. There were lots
of tourists there to witness sunrise. After the wonderful view, we went back to the hotel and we spent
the rest of the day in Pokhara city, shopping, boating, visiting temples and tasting good food. We took
a return flight to Kathmandu that evening and joined our family friend that night.

In the early morning hours of our final day in Nepal, that is on 25 April 2015, we got into a
plane which could accommodate only 12 people and set off for an adventure flight. The pilot took us
along with other tourists through the mountain ranges of the Great Himalayas right upto the great
Mount Everest. However, we were not lucky enough to get a clear view of Mount Everest because of
heavy fog and mist in the sky. After a while, we were forced to turn back and we landed again at the
Kathmandu airport. It was still morning time and our family friend, his wife and two children took us
for a car ride through the main roads in the city. On our way, we saw the Dharahara Tower, similar to
our Qutab Minar, and decided to visit it on our way back later that day. We also visited the famous
Pashupathinath temple, which was a great experience. I had earlier seen those surroundings only in
the film ‘Yodha’, and now I was actually standing there, viewing the collection of temples, ashrams
and yogis and the countless steps in the temple complex. The temple, situated near Bagmati river
consisted of numerous shiv lingas, which were a treat to our eyes. After doing a bit of shopping, we
