INVOKING DIVINE BLESSINGS

Grand welcome of Vasant Panchami ,the joyous occasion to worship Goddess
Saraswati - the Fountainhead of Wisdom, Knowledge, Art and Music .The festival of
Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Pooja was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm
on 16th February ,2021 at the Rajendra Nagar campus 1 of City Montessori School.

The entire school staff and students gathered at the school premises attired in
shades of yellow . Pooja was offered to the Goddess of Learning by Principal Ma'am
Mrs Jayashree Krishnan Vice Principal Ma'am, Mrs Rita Fleming and the incharges
followed by our cultural programme. The celebration of the festival started with the
beautiful and soulful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana followed by a speech by
Akshat Awasthi on the significance of the festival of Vasant Panchami that marks
the arrival of Spring.
A poem in praise of Goddess Saraswati was recited by Akriti .Our own Maestro, the
Tansen of our Campus ,Aaradhya Srivastava sang a classical song and Vishnu Priya
recited a poem to Welcome the Spring Season -the Harbinger of Beauty, Bloom and
Blossom .The celebration came to a close with the graceful dance in praise of

Goddess Saraswati by Samridhi Srivastava and distribution of 'Prasad.' Gaiety and
Piety went hand in hand to leave an indelible impression in the minds of all those
who witnessed the programme,.It was ably compered by Pratishtha.
The classrooms were decorated with yellow flowers, yellow craft work ,kites and
butterfly paintings. It was an attempt to preserve the Indian culture and to impart a
sense of respect to worth our long established traditions.
