               How do I Use Operators, Wildcards and the Find Feature?


               Overview

               This topic discusses three features in Compass that help you search for data.
                      Operators allow you to search on limited amounts of information, such as first letters for a customer,
                       company, or state name.
                      A wild card is a special symbol that stands for one or more characters.

                      The Find feature helps you easily find data when there are many rows of data to search through.

               Operators

               When conducting a search in Compass, you can narrow your search by using one of the
               operators from the drop-down lists next to each search field.

                                                                                     with. This means the system will
                                                                                     only search for records that begin
                                                                                     with the criteria you enter in each
                                                                                     field.
