BCP Consultation

ALBANY APARTMENTS is located within the east Cliff Conservation area (CA) and

according to the local council planning and heritage department report (2019),

Albany is considered as a Building having a NEGATIVE impact on the CA.

"Negative impact buildings are those which detract from the character or

appearance of the CA and do not provide a positive contribution in their current

form".

"In these cases there may be the opportunity to enhance the Conservation Area by

appropriate alterations."

The AAL Board in conjunction with CMIS is working closely with the BCP heritage

officer to agree exterior designs and Colours that would improve the visual impact

of Albany within its environment. and the designs and colours presented have

been approved by the BCP Heritage Officer.
