THE NEED
At BBHH, our calendar is bustling with programs and services aimed at serving the community. However, the plethora of activities brings with it a set of challenges, primarily revolving around space constraints and program overlaps.
Our downstairs classroom is the hub for numerous essential sessions, including parenting classes, Bible studies, nancial education, and ESL classes. However, its capacity is often stretched to its limits, especially during the popular parenting classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Mondays, the inux of attendees forces us to relocate to the upstairs classroom, disrupting the schedule and causing logistical headaches.
Meanwhile, our after-school program, a vital resource for local students, competes for space with the parenting classes and the Tyro parenting class on Monday evenings. The back of the grocery store, where many of our activities, including Zumba and evening classes, face similar challenges, juggling multiple programs throughout the week.
Several programs share space, leading to scheduling conicts and limited availability. The expansion aims to alleviate these constraints by providing dedicated space for each program. Assuming each program receives its own dedicated space, we can anticipate a signicant increase in capacity to serve.
