JIMMY ALPHONCE
Jimmy’s long journey to ISF began when his parents were tragically killed during the war that engulfed his native Democratic Republic of the Congo. Forced to flee his country as a child, he managed to survive the ordeal of life in a refugee camp. When the US State Department provided the opportunity to come to America, Jimmy was placed in foster care under the supervision of Catholic Charities of Fort Worth. He managed to learn English and graduate from Aledo High School.
When Jimmy was accepted to the University of Texas at Dallas, he learned about the opportunity to become an ISF student-leader. With the help of ISF, Jimmy graduated from UTD in December, 2017, with a degree in International Political Economics with a concentration in Diplomacy.
While at ISF, Jimmy participated in ISF’s mentoring program, attended several Leadership & Life Skills Retreat, along with a Christmas Mission Trip to Guatemala. Jimmy has gone on to earn two Master’s Degrees while with ISF: a Master of Science in Management from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the American University, School of Public Affairs.
Now an American Citizen, Jimmy serves in the United States Department of State Bureau of Administration as a Local Government Information Specialist. He and wife Mulasi have two children and live in the Washington DC area.
