Through private donors and
community supporters, we raised
$400,000 in private funding.
The City of Dallas matched that
with another $400,000 in public
funding, and voters approved an
additional $1 million in bond
funding in 2024.
That means we now have $1.8
million secured for the skatepark
itself — which will become the
first public skatepark serving South
Dallas.
This kind of public-private
partnership is exactly how
transformational projects like
this come to life.
