In his book on the travellers who brought the Saluki to England, Brian Duggan has done
himself a great service by examining the English perspective on the origin of the Saluki breed
and researching and documenting it in the finest detail. Once again, after the "Tohuwabohu"
article, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to him. He has again generously supported
me with details and photos in this article.

Gail Goodman, with her vast knowledge and archive, is also always friendly and helpful.
Discussing controversial topics with her is always a benefit.

Raouf Ochi is happy to help me with information on site in Tunisia. Many thanks for that!

Patricia Lauer and Kateřina Pokorna were happy to provide me with information on various
details and I received a few historical photos of Salukis from Hung Pham, which he collects
with great passion and makes available to the public.

In this article I have again been able to draw on some of the many photos of the north-west
Algerian Sloughis taken by Joseph Mangelsdorf.

Jutta Rübesam, Brigitta Steinmaßl and Els Siebel gave me valuable tips, thank you very much!

Michael Yates, again, helped me a lot to bring this text in a better English, though he regrets
that it "sounds a bit German, anyway”. Thank you very much, Michael!

Documents were given to Dr. Dominique de Caprona by Gisela Walden. A treasure. Thanks to
        her!

Finally, I would like to thank Dr. M.-Dominique Crapon de Caprona for again agreeing to
publish my very wide-ranging thoughts, which do not always seem to relate directly to the
Sloughi, in her wonderful magazine The Sloughi Review, thus providing a basis for new ways
of understanding and breeding our beloved Sloughis in the future!
Nancy Lovelady and Caroline Mathews do their utmost to support her.
