If jackals/Golden wolves or foxes are being hunted, the Sloughis hold him until the
hunter arrives to take over the catch.

Hunting is traditionally done only during the day. The smaller, short, agile Sloughis are
better suited for hunting hares, the larger ones, mostly males, are used for

jackals/Golden wolves and foxes. But there are also Sloughias that are used for hunting
foxes and jackals/Golden wolves, such as Gtaya and Warda of Bousalem who have
        excelled.

Ben Ali Belgacem goes hunting hares in southern Tunisia during the day with one or two
Sloughis, occasionally jackals/Golden wolves or gazelles are also hunted, but not so often.
The terrain here is sandy desert.

Hunting is done only with one or two Sloughis, whether hares or jackals/Golden wolves
are hunted. Rarely foxes or gazelles are hunted, no other game. The hares caught are
eaten, the jackals/Golden wolves are not.
