HYMNS
Hymn No.1 2. We shall sing on that beautiful shore
1. We are tossed and driven The melodious songs of the blest,
on the restless sea of time; And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Sombre skies and howling tempests Not a sigh for the blessing of rest. Refrain
oft succeed a bright sunshine;
In that land of perfect day, 3. To our bountiful Father above,
when the mists are rolled away, We will offer the tribute of praise
We will understand it better by and by. For the glorious gift or His love,
And the blessings that hallow our days.
Refrain: Refrain
By and by, when the morning comes,
when the saints of God are gathered home,
We'll tell the story how we've overcome, Hymn No. 3
For we'll understand it better by and by. 1.Marching on in the light of God,
Marching on, I am marching on;
2. We are often destitute Up the path that the Master trod,
of the things that life demands, Marching, marching on.
Want of food and want of shelter,
thirsty hills and barren lands; Refrain:
We are trusting in the Lord, A robe of white, a crown of gold,
and according to God's word, A harp, a home, a mansion fair,
We will understand it better by and by. A victor’s palm, a joy untold,
Are mine when I get there.
3. Trials dark on every hand,
and we cannot understand 2.Marching on through the hosts of sin,
All the ways of God would lead us Marching on I am marching on;
to that blessed promised land; Vict’ry’s mine while I’ve Christ within,
But he guides us with his eye, Marching, marching on.
and we'll follow till we die,
For we'll understand it better by and by. 3.Marching on while the skeptics sneer,
(Refrain) Marching on, I am marching on;
Perfect love casteth out all fear,
Marching, marching on.
Hymn 2
1.There is a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.
Refrain:
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
