Dr. Liz Mulig, CPA earned her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Shreveport. Dr. Mulig then worked one year in public accounting and 10 years in industry, during which time she completed an MBA and MPA (Master of Professional Accountancy) at Louisiana Tech University. She also holds a doctorate in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University.
Dr. Mulig’s areas of teaching interest include Financial, Managerial and Accounting Information Systems. She has published in Strategic Finance, the Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, the Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal and others. Her primary research fields are ethics and pedagogy.Dr. Mulig loves teaching, helping her students achieve their educational goals and hearing from them after they have graduated and are pursuing their career goals.
In her personal life, Dr. Mulig is very proud of her two daughters. The older daughter holds a degree in Recording Industry Management and Marketing, and she develops online training. The younger daughter is an RN/BSN, Master of Nursing, is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Nursing Education and is an assistant professor of nursing. Honorable mention also goes to Dr. Mulig’s one-year-old grandson! Dr. Mulig and her fiancé, Kevin, recently moved from the big city to the country and are thoroughly enjoying country living! Dr. Mulig’s hobbies include cars, dogs and interior decorating. She is an avid football fan, and she is an active board member of a 501c3 dog rescue organization.
