Throughout her lifetime, she has taken in more stray animals than she can count and is primarily involved in equine research. She and her husband, Glen, live on 150 acres about six miles east of Durant and currently have five dogs, 4 horses, two donkeys, chickens, assorted barn cats, and about 60 head of cattle. Kitty's daughter, Kelli, is also a graduate of Southeastern with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Occupational Safety & Health.
