Irish Refugee Council Education Grants
Number of Scholarships Available
We help as many people as we possibly can.
The number of people we support is limited by how much we can fund raise from private and corporate donations annually. Typically we support over 50 people each year.
Who can apply to the IRC Education Fund?
Any person who is or has been a Protection Applicant or Refugee in Ireland.
What costs can be applied for?
Course fees Transport
Books / Materials
Laptops – we do not use this fund for laptops however we ask you on the application form if you need a laptop because we try to find other funds for laptops and if we are successful, we will contact you.
What we cannot pay for with this grant
Childcare Housing
Living expenses Mobile phone Internet etc
Any Other Relevant Information
We do not fund private colleges / courses.
We recommend you attend colleges approved by the Department of Further and Higher Education & SUSI – see here for PLC Colleges – and here for Undergraduate Colleges and Universities
Proof of offer from a College / University
Please enclose your letter/email with your application form if you have received an offer of a place on your course, it helps us to prioritise your application.
