PESHAWARI KARAHI
Peshawari Karahi is a Pakistani dish that represents the country’s rich culinary heritage. This delicious meal has
gained popularity among food enthusiasts worldwide. It originated from Peshawar, a city located in the Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa province. Peshawari Karahi is known for its unique blend of flavors that represent the artistry and
tradition deeply embedded in Pakistani cuisine.
Ingredients
• 50 ml of oil
• 600 g Tomatoes 600 g Chicken 1 Garlic Bulb
• One teaspoon salt
• One tsp each of black pepper and chili powder
• One teaspoon of garam masala
• 1 teaspoon powdered Kashmiri chili
• One-half teaspoon of cumin powder
• One-half teaspoon of coriander powder
• Coriander
• Green chilli (3 or 4)
Instructions
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, add the crushed garlic cloves, and sauté for one minute, or until fragrant.
Cook the chopped tomatoes for five minutes, or until they become tender.
Cook for fifteen minutes after adding the chicken.
Cook the spices for three to four minutes after adding the salt, black pepper, chilli powder, garam masala, Kashmiri
chilli powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder.
Cook for one to two minutes after adding the coriander and bullet chillies.
Your Peshawari chicken karahi is ready!
