Welcome to the January/February 2018 issue of the official Directory 5

publication of the North Carolina Fraternal Order of Police.

Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable Christmas season and had Greetings from

For many years the National FOP Legislative Office has sponsored an event in Wash-

ington DC known as “Day on the Hill.” The FOP, through the National Legislative Office Catawba County

members to Washington at the same time to meet with their own Congressmen and Sena-

tors to discuss legislation important to law enforcement officers. This year’s event will be

held on February 12-14, 2018. This year’s event will kick-off with a Legislative Briefing

FOP has not participated in this event in the past few years but will be represented this

year by several members. I will report more on this in the next issue of the BlueNote. A
