BlueNote Information and Submission Dates for 2018

By Terry Mangum – Executive Editor

We hope you enjoyed the November/December issue of the BlueNote and hope that you had a happy and joy-
ous holiday season. I would like to personally thank everyone who contributed articles and Lodge activities dur-
ing 2017.

As we begin the new year of 2018, I would like to encourage everyone to submit articles of your Lodge’s ac-
tivities. We need your articles in order to continue to produce and publish the BlueNote as a beneficial and useful
publication.

I would again encourage each Lodge to form a committee to be responsible for writing Lodge articles for the
BlueNote. I feel certain each Lodge has individuals who would be willing to serve on a publication committee,
they just need to be asked. If you do not form a committee, at least identify someone to submit articles for your
Lodge. Do not be concerned if you feel that you are not a writer, because we are here to assist with your articles.
You write the article and send it to us and, if necessary, we will make it look publication worthy.

This is your publication so help us make it better by contributing articles, photographs, and suggestions for im-
provement. All Lodges have elections and other activities throughout the year which would be great material for
a BlueNote submission. When submitting photographs, please select one or two of your best and if possible send
the names of the individuals in the picture. Please begin now preparing for the March/April 2018 issue and let us
hear from you and your Lodge.

Please e-mail your articles and photos to my e-mail address TerryMangum@frontier.com by the due date.
Below are the Article Submission Due Dates for 2018. Please understand that you can always send your arti-
cles well before the due date for the upcoming issue of the BlueNote. Getting articles early keeps me from
being overrun with articles, which I must prepare for the Editor, at the last minute.
