Slowly but patiently the world will come back to life, Part 1- Poverty
and all the bad things which happen will go
Like it never existed at all… People on the streets begging for food,
Their lives have always been ruined,
Advay Patwa Not being able to pay for their homes,
MYP-1 Alone on the streets, they roam.
Naked, during the cold winter nights, they shiver and sneeze,
Love to Hate me They might starve or get infected with a fatal disease.
Their bones being completely visible,
In the cold, They could die any moment, it’s unpredictable.
Trying to find the way to my home, The rich are getting richer,
Each droplet gave me a scar, The poor are getting poorer,
Found the way only to the dark, This needs to stop,
Closing my eyes, Poor people’s earnings must not drop!
Suddenly got picked up by two strangers, We must help the poor,
Petrified, We must provide resources to them,
Didn’t even know if I should cry, We must donate and raise funds,
This was the time I had to fight for my life, We need to do this so all of us are treated as one!
Didn’t know where, didn’t know how,
But still they gave me water they gave me food, Part 2- Racial Discrimination
They gave me my little life,
There were people who didn’t love to hate me, Other people get bullied for their color,
Soon I was able to fly, Not being accepted for who they are.
Up above the sky, Getting bullied everywhere they go,
This was the time I had to say goodbye, The way they feel on the inside?
Thanking them with all my heart, No one knows...
Don’t judge by looks,
For loving me so hard.
