The Family of Four Respect Food
I once saw a family of four, There are billions of people in the world
Living in a small shack. but not enough food for all of them
With sand as the filthy floor. The reason we work is to get food and shelter
And the rain drifted in at the door.
1/3 of food is wasted per person and
Still the family lived there, that is 33% of all food wasted
In a shack so dirty and crude; most of it never touched or tasted
And though very hungry they felt, oh dear why is it that food
They didn’t have a crump of food. Of all things is wasted.
Most may say that wasting sometimes is ok
In that poor shack, But you need to learn to eat what you take
They must know what true misery is. because some people don’t get food for heaven’s Sake.
While I think I know misery in my day,
I have no idea what it truly is. Shubham Jaydip

I have heard about a girl,
        With dreams and aspirations
The Starving Desires her mind was awhirl.

See the starving of the child, Had everything on the top of her head,
As she has been defiled. Worries afloat , gloom in bed,
we find it hard to see the hunger, Family and friends,
Overshadowed by the sad plunder. her life had no dead ends!

She is but a starving girl, Then came a mister,
Admired as she has been unfurled Who treated her like a younger sister,
We humans like to chase a desire, He was old but bold,
Mostly one that we do not require Loved by all, or so they told.

Teresa shudders at the look of people begging to eat
 Just for this to repeat
        She was shocked and refused,

She thought of him as a brother,
        She was confused.
