      HARRISON KLINGMAN-CAPTAIN
Harrison competes among the very best in the middle and distance events, but what impresses the coaches most are his humble nature and natural leadership. Class president, service, or admission, when he is called upon, he always shows up. An exemplary role model, Harrison is dedicated to self-im- provement and can often be found at the team tent reading history – for plea- sure – which obviously makes Coach Weiss very proud. Harrison has had a huge impact on the cross country and track programs, and he will be missed.
NINA LAVELLE-CAPTAIN
To say that Nina is a team captain does not do her justice. She has the ability to bring the team together, literally and figuratively. Her unrelent- ing passion for excellence has put her on Latin’s top-three all-time list in the sprint events. She is disciplined, but she has fun, and her leadership extends far beyond the track with her thoughtful ideas, artistic talent, and readiness to serve. We are thrilled that she will continue her track career at the University of Richmond next year.
CODY NGWANZA
Cody never backs down from a challenge. He readily volunteers for sprint events and relay teams and
has a strong worth ethic backed by a competitive spirit. Although quiet by nature, once he gets going, you could talk to him for hours. With flawless executive, consistently high effort, and a calm demeanor, Cody has been an asset to the track program.
      MADELEINE PEASE-CAPTAIN
Madeleine tied the school record in
the high jump last year, but already
this season she has claimed it outright and then broken it twice more. She
also performs as an elite mid-distance runner, contributing in the 400 and 800-meter races. Known as Mada, you can hear her loudly supporting fellow Hawks and opponents alike, offering advice, encouragement, and hugs to all who dare to try. It has been our privi- lege to watch her growth over the last four years.
SARAH PICCIOLA
Sarah has a willingness to try new events and challenge herself. She has done sprints, relays, jumping, and dis- tance events. Sarah is always positive and her maturity as a students athlete is impressive. Her communication skill is superior. She always keeps our teams needs first. We will truly miss Sarah’s presence as she is one of the most consistent members on our team.
ELLIE SABATH
Ellie is also new to the sport and to pole vault. Her strength and experi- ence from cheerleading, combined with her willingness to take risks and ability to have fun - even when things are challenging – have served her well as she continues to learn and enjoy pole vaulting with her teammates. Ellie has a great attitude and has been a lot of fun to coach.
