      DONOVAN SANDERS
Donovan has been an integral part
of our team since his freshman year. He has a busy schedule with a lot of diverse extracurricular activities, but he always makes time for practice, and he actively seeks coaching feedback. Donovan’s dedication to mastering his block starts and running technique have allowed him to make big im- prove-ments in his 100 and 200-meter times, and we will miss him next year.
MARY SCHLEUSNER
To put it plainly, Mary is one of the most gifted and accomplished multi- sport athletes in the storied history of the Hawks athletic program. All-State in cross country and basketball, a starter on the varsity soccer team, and an exceptionally talented track ath- lete, Mary excels every time she puts on a Latin uniform. While soccer is Mary’s primary spring sport, she man- ages to join us at track meets and put down scorching performances in the 400 and 800 meter races. Despite her accomplishments, she is also exceed- ingly humble, positive, and enthusi- astic. She simply makes every-thing better each time she shows up, including making the people around her better. Mary is an all-time great.
MORGAN STRADFORD
Morgan has been an integral part of the track team since she was in Middle School. She excels at the triple and long jump, is a highly competitive 100-meter runner, and is a key mem- ber of our four-by-100-meter relay. Morgan’s dedication, attention to detail, preparation, and execution are all examples of her commitment to the sport and her leadership on our team.
     DAVIS THOMPSON-CAPTAIN
Davis joined the track team as a junior and quickly established himself as a key part of the sprint relay legacy. He leads through work – and he knows how to work. Davis executes every warm-up exercise, every drill, and ev- ery race with focus and precision. He is truly a coach’s dream and he has been a gift to our program.
SOPHIA VONA
Sophia brought the cheerful can-do attitude that her classroom teachers know so well to the track program for the final chapter of her senior year. Sophia has embraced the challenges of distance running with her typical curiosity and enthusiasm, and she improves every day, training hard for middle distance races. She enjoys the work, and her coaches and team- mates enjoy her presence.
