LETTER FROM THE BOOSTER CLUB PRESIDENT
Dear Latin Hawk Fans,
Nothing could stop our Latin Hawk athletics this winter season. Our athletes gave it all they had on the court, in the pool, and on the mat. The reward for their success is apparent in the results. Congratulations to our State Champions - Varsity Boys Swim and Varsity Wrestling. Our Varsity Boys Basketball team secured the title of Conference Champions. And, what about that 7th-Grade Girls Basketball team - undefeated. A big thank you to our cheer and dance teams; they brought so much spirit and energy to the games. We certainly missed hosting the traditional fellowship events that allow us to come together as a community and cheer on our athletes, but that did not stop fans from logging on to our streaming channel to support their favorite team from home. Thank you to our Athletic Administrative Team that meets daily to ensure our athletes’ safety, resulting in a successful season. Thank you to our parent volunteers that helped check-in spectators for every home game.
Spring is in the air, and our days are getting longer and brighter. Teams are practicing, and games have begun. When you are on campus, please take a moment to check out the enhanced Patten field with new banners provided by the Booster Club. Stop by concessions and grab a refreshment on your way to cheer on your favorite Hawk team. If you cannot attend a game, catch the action on the new game streaming page on the Charlotte Latin website in the athletics section. If you need some Hawk spirit wear swag, please shop our Booster Website posted in the Booster section on MyLatin.
We are planning for an exciting Hawkspy’s Event to celebrate our senior athletes and State Champions. This event will take place on Tuesday, May 18th. Please watch for further details.
