DANIEL HAUGHTON CAPTAIN
BEN ANDERSON
Ben has grown into a tough, dependable, competitor over the last four years. He has gained national recognition as a long-snapper, but he’s gone much further for the Hawks with his impact on the offen- sive and defensive lines. As
a leader of the special teams unit, Ben’s presence has been felt at both practices and games. We look forward to seeing Ben finish his career as a Latin Hawk and represent our community at the collegiate level next fall.
Daniel has earned All-State honors and All-Conference recognition the past two years. He has been the prima- ry leader for our offense and defense for the last two years, which earned him the role
of captain both years. Daniel ranks among the top Latin football players of all-time – excelling everywhere on the Latin campus. His toughness and grit have elevated the Latin program. The sign of
a great leader is they make everyone around them better, and Daniel has done that.
CARSON LATTA
In 2020, Carson approached the Charlotte Latin football staff about punting, kicking and playing football. Carson’s presence was used in a va- riety of roles in 2020, includ- ing linebacker and H-back. But the staff, and Carson, quickly recognized his value as a punter. Through hard work and extensive practice, Carson has become one of Charlotte Latin football’s best weapons. Carson’s senior stats have shown him to be ninety percent effective when asked to flip the field!
SAM LUCAS
Sam is a Latin Lifer and has been a 2-year starter on the offensive line for the Char- lotte Latin football program. His coaches say he is a real pleasure to coach - Sam is a hard worker and very passion- ate about playing football for the Hawks! He leaves every- thing he has on the field on Friday nights. The coaches also commented that what they will miss the most about Sam is his willingness to do anything to help the football team. His “big brother” men- tality will be missed!
