Congratulations Seniors!
JULIE DERRAIK - CAPTAIN
Julie is a three-year varsity player who was named captain this season by her fellow teammates, and has been the heartbeat for the volleyball program. Her smile and dedication to support her teammates is what sets her apart. Julie has been the varsity setter over the last few years but due to multiple injuries this season, she has made her impact supporting her team from the sideline. Julie brings positive energy every day and has the most exuberant celebrations. We’ll keep slamming
the floor during awesome plays in her honor! Julie’s future plans are to study sociology and criminology as well as do social work.
RACHEL HALL
Rachel has been a huge part of the program since stepping into the gym
in 7th grade. Her positive attitude and smile are contagious, making her an irreplaceable member of the varsity team the past two years. Outside of volleyball, Rachel also plays on a travel ice hockey team and fosters pregnant dogs. Her love for animals shows in
her future plans of becoming a veter- inarian! Rachel’s favorite memory of Latin volleyball is when she went to get lunch with the seniors during summer training when she was a freshman, and her advice to future players is to trust in your teammates and have fun!
QUINCEY MORELAND
Quincey has been a steady presence on the team and earned the Most Improved Award her freshman season! Quincey enjoys baking and volunteering when she’s not playing volleyball and has plans to pursue a major in elemen- tary education or special education in college. An accomplishment Quincey is most proud of is being able to work as a teacher for the fifth year at her temple, showing her great passion for teaching. Quincey’s favorite memory on the vol- leyball team was hanging out with the team at Rea Farms after practice her ju- nior year. Her advice for future players is to enjoy your time on the team because it goes by quickly.
